Pispoure’ is a Country-Rock-Alternative-Pop (C.R.A.P.) band stationed out of the Chicken Shack, Russell Hill Road, Bovina Center, New York, U.S.A, Earth, Solar System, Milky Way Galaxy. The din they create emanates from electric and acoustic basses and guitars, human and dog vocals, harmonica, mandolin, and nasty drums.
How we became Pispoure'
One extremely frigid evening, or perhaps early morning, as Chico and I drifted out of the Chicken Shack and into a drift to lose some of the beer we had accumulated during the previous two or so hours, I began to scroll a dirty word in the fluffy pile. Chico then adeptly reflected back to the last song we hammered out of our six-foot stacks of Aztec speakers, through a maze of mics, chords, amps and unskilled voices and fingers, "Man, we are piss poor". To which I excitedly retorted, ''Yes; that's it: We are Pispoure! We'll spell it weird like Limp Bizkit, er Mistikal, and put an accent in there somewhere. We could pronounce it peace-pur-a' and pretend it means 'elegant ones' in French er sumpin." Chico finished his work and then inquired, "What the #!&# are you talking about, @$$#@!#?" A bit more beer, several songs and four to seven fans later, We are Pispoure', and our music remains: Pispoure'.
